Staying Connected During COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed enormous pressures on the capacity of health care systems and providers to continue to deliver care. The response to COVID-19 has included unprecedented shifts in the delivery of health care services.

In April 2020, Choosing Wisely Canada launched a weekly virtual gathering series to facilitate conversations on using resources wisely in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The gatherings brought together the Choosing Wisely Canada community for interactive learnings and discussions, engaging talks by leading speakers, and an opportunity to stay connected during these challenging times.

The topics for each weeks’ gathering reflect the steep learning curve and rapid response to the challenges brought forward by COVID-19. Explore the fourteen gatherings and learn how the Choosing Wisely Canada community of clinicians, patients and public members, and health care organizations have risen to the challenge of using resources wisely in the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gatherings were offered until the end of July as the campaign gears up for the return of our two monthly webinar series Choosing Wisely Talks and De/Implement. Stay tuned for upcoming webinars returning in September by visiting our events page.
