Using Antibiotics Wisely Across Canada

During Antibiotic Awareness Week (November 13 – November 19 2017), Choosing Wisely Canada launched a new campaign that encourages providers and patients to reduce the use of unnecessary antibiotics. Using antibiotics wisely improves patient outcomes, reduces side effects and antimicrobial resistance and optimizes resource utilization.

Choosing Wisely provincial and territorial affiliates across Canada led their own local efforts to help spread the message of using antibiotics wisely. We’ve highlighted some of their fantastic work on this effort.
