Choosing Wisely New Brunswick (CWNB) is led by the New Brunswick Medical Society (NBMS) and works collaboratively with Réseau de santé Vitalité, Horizon Health Network, Dalhousie Medicine New Brunswick, College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick, The New Brunswick College of Family Physicians, Centre de formation médicale Nouveau-Brunswick (CFMNB), Department of Health, New Brunswick Health Council, New Brunswick Pharmacist Association, and patients.

The current areas of focus for CWNB are:

• Imaging for low back pain
• Preoperative testing prior to low-risk surgeries
• Antimicrobial stewardship
• Appropriate use antipsychotics in long term care
• Appropriate use of benzodiazepines in long term care
• Opioid Wisely
