In 2010 the NBA adopted data and analytics to optimize player performance. Not surprisingly, this improved the accuracy of players’ shots, made them shoot to their best abilities, and brought transparency to scores. If this is what data did for basketball imagine what it can do for health care! To close out 2018, on Thursday December 6^th at 12pm ET, we’ll be joined by Dr. Sacha Bhatia, Choosing Wisely Canada Measurement and Evaluation Lead, and Director of the Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV) at Women’s College Hospital, where he also a staff cardiologist.  Dr. Bhatia will explore how data can improve physician and team performance and discuss current barriers to transformative data analytics in healthcare through a Choosing Wisely context.
