Over the past two years, five hospitals and six family health teams in Ontario have worked jointly on a groundbreaking initiative to implement and spread the Choosing Wisely recommendations across their sites. They have achieved significant reductions in overuse across more than 10 clinical areas, but have also encountered a number of challenges along the way.
