Choosing Wisely Talks | Nurses’ Valuable Role in Developing and Implementing Choosing Wisely Canada Recommendations
Nurses make up 48% of all health-care professionals in Canada and play a major role as leaders and advocates in reducing overuse of unnecessary tests, treatments and interventions. They are ideally placed to engage in conversations about appropriate care with patients. Join us on Thursday, March 7, to hear from the Canadian Nurses Association on how it has partnered with Choosing Wisely Canada to develop nurse-led Choosing Wisely Canada lists in collaboration with nursing specialties.
You will also gain insight from nurses who have put Choosing Wisely recommendations into practice locally through quality improvement initiatives, such as reducing repetitive blood draws in the ICU.
