Designed for primary care providers, this interactive workshop is a unique opportunity to learn about overuse and overdiagnosis in practice. Throughout clinical cases, participants will explore various tools and find ways to create meaningful changes in their practice.

What you’ll learn:

  • How to identify opportunities to practice wisely to help reduce over-screening, over-imaging, over-prescribing and over-monitoring.
  • How to access and assess reliable online resources for evidence-informed practice and integrate relevant evidence into individual patient care decision and plans.
  • How to communicate and build consensus with patients and their families to reduce their reliance on overmedicalization.

During the workshop participants will be asked to visit a variety of websites to access various resources. Therefore, all participants are required to bring a laptop or tablet that can connect to the internet to fully participate in the program.
