Now accepting abstracts for our 3rd Annual National Meeting, Choosing Wisely Canada: Leading and Implementing Change, taking place Monday April 23rd, 2018, at the Globe & Mail Centre, Toronto.
Choosing Wisely Canada is pleased to announce that we are now accepting abstracts for our 3rd Annual National Meeting, Choosing Wisely Canada: Leading and Implementing Change.
This year’s meeting themes are measurement and implementation of the recommendations. We encourage the submission of abstracts on these themes from a variety of perspectives, including medical education, quality improvement, de-prescribing, patient engagement, implementation challenges and successes, and measurement and evaluation. Abstract submissions are welcome from clinicians, students and trainees, healthcare leaders and administrators. Selected abstracts will be presented as oral presentations and workshops.
Appropriate abstracts will be invited to lead ‘Deimplementation Skills Bootcamp’ workshops and the top four selected abstracts will be invited to participate in a panel discussion.
Important Dates:
- Abstract submissions opening November 1st, 2017
- Abstract submissions closing January 31st, 2018
- Abstract presentation invitations out February 15th, 2018
- National Meeting April 23rd, 2018
Abstract Content (maximum 250 words):
- For Implementation/Innovation in Practice or education: goal, implementation, measures, challenges, lessons learned
- For Measurement: background, methods, results, conclusion
- For Workshops: background, interactive activity or case study

Please note that only one presenter per abstract will have a registration spot reserved. As such, accompanying presenters/authors should register ahead of time to guarantee their spots. All accepted abstract presenters are required to register for the National Meeting.
