The current areas of focus for CWNT are:
- Appropriate antibiotic use
- Appropriate use of diagnostic imaging for low back pain
- Appropriate use of lab testing (i.e., ESR/CRP, Vitamin D, Thyroid, Folate)
- Rural Medicine Toolkit – strategies to reduce unnecessary patient movement from rural and remote communities for medical care, and to optimize movement when it is required
- Red blood cell transfusions
Among the change strategies being implemented are:
- Clinician education and resource tools
- Patient education
- Process changes
