The focus and driving force of the Choosing Wisely Nova Scotia (CWNS) campaign is to improve the quality of care for all patients and reduce the potential for harm. CWNS has identified that the number of available tests and treatments keep growing, but many are only useful in specific circumstances. We are reviewing the research and identifying which medical test and treatments are overused in the local context.
