This certificate program is a self-directed learning opportunity for health profession students across Canada to deepen their understanding of resource stewardship and Choosing Wisely principles.

Endorsed by Choosing Wisely Nova Scotia, the program includes interactive, live sessions with expert speakers and is also accessible asynchronously through recordings for those unable to attend.

The program will involve a series of live webinar sessions with invited speakers to share knowledge of resource stewardship principles in practice. These sessions will be recorded, and made available for asynchronous viewing.

How to earn your certificate:

  • Attend or view recordings of all sessions.
    • Of the sessions, at least half must be attended live on Microsoft Teams.
    • Complete a short quiz after each session to confirm attendance and engagement.
  • If watching a recording, complete the brief reflection included in the quiz.

The 2025 program is now complete. The sign up link for the 2026 program will be posted closer to the start of the fall semester.

Sessions for the 2026 program to be announced.
