An Idea Worth Sustaining: Evaluating the Sustainability Potential of Choosing Wisely Initiatives Across Ontario Community Hospitals and Primary Care

26 May 2021

12:00pm EST - 1:00pm EST

The implementation of Choosing Wisely recommendations is widely recognized as an important step in reducing overuse in health care. But how do we sustain these efforts and continue to make an impact?

Join us on May 26 at 12 p.m. to hear from Dr. Monika Kastner, Research Chair in Knowledge Translation and Implementation at North York General Hospital. Dr. Kastner will share insights from a study evaluating the sustainability potential of Choosing Wisely implementation initiatives across five Ontario hospitals and primary care practices. Learn more about common challenges, the role of patients, and considerations on how to maximize the sustainability of these efforts.

Dr. Monika Kastner is Research Chair in Knowledge Translation and Implementation at North York General Hospital, Affiliate Scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael’s Hospital, and Associate Professor of Health Services Research in the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation
