The Unnecessary Conference: Choosing Wisely Canada's National Meeting

There’s a fine line between what is necessary and unnecessary in health care. At The Unnecessary Conference, we explore the nuanced ways in which overuse permeates health care delivery and what people are doing about it.

Each year, Choosing Wisely Canada, in collaboration with the Canadian Medical Association, brings together health professionals, patients, system leaders, and researchers from across the country to discuss and engage on topics related to overuse.

In the fifth year of the Choosing Wisely Canada national meeting, we’re taking it to a whole new level. For the first time, the meeting will be a two-day event. This means double the keynote speakers, skills-based workshops, interactive breakout sessions and networking opportunities.

Join us in the nation’s capital May 25 and May 26 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Find inspiration, learn from experiences, and participate in an energized exchange of ideas on overuse.

Two-day Student Registration Fee  |  $250.00

A limited number of scholarships are available to attend at a reduced cost. Please email by February 28, 2020 for more information.
